Pic ENG 14

Very rare inspector weights.

Made for the Lancashire
county council

Standard inspector weights.

Those weights are in use to proof the
WORKING Standard weights, which the inspector daily used one time in the year.

So this weights are normal only used a few times a year.

The heavy box has two handles
The complete set include weights from 56 lb down to 1/2 grain ( 16 weights )
Each weight is fine engraved on the front.
The weights where made by De Grave, London
in 1908
The set content :

1 x 56 / 28 / 14 / 7 / 4 / 2 / 1 lb
and 8 & 4 oz

A additonal small box cover the small
weights from 2 oz down to a 1/2 grain
That was a "must"

The small 1/2 grain weight on the top of the
handle of the 56 lb weight
