Very nice US candy scale, made by Henry Troemer, Philadelphia. Brass lift-off scoop with brass beam.
A slider show on the graduation the weigh of the load. The nice stand of the beam and the stand of the sight hole are decorated cast iron. The base is made of wood. The same kind of scale exist also as "Cannon ball scale" which means that the beam has four round holes which hold a ball as weight. The holes weigh for 1,2,3 or 4 lb and a little slider ball show on a second graduation the onzes. I am happy to get a picture of the "Cannon ball scale" from one collector who visit this side !
