Coin
scale
Pic CS 77
Probably
cologne but not for 100 % as the maker sign is not identified.
Kisch date the scale to 1590 until 1662 by the box maker sign. But the maker
sign must be before 1653
The box is in very nice condition. Inside she show some use in the lid. The
small cover
of the fractional hole is to short. So it is maybe a repair or newer insert.
The scale comes with 13 weights. 7 are for sure original. 1 Is not clear to
see.. but I think it has the same
mark. 1 show a other and 4 show no maker sign.
The
beam has very nice and early trumped ends ( 16/17th c. ) and also the both
pans are super. The angular one show again the maker sign ( Unknown ). Sad
is that the nice scale has an lost part which hold the scale.
Sad but this happens to such an early scale.
